About The Colorado Rockies
The Colorado Rockies are a Major League Baseball franchise out of Denver, CO. The team was established in 1993 and is part of the West Division of the National League. The team’s home field is Coors Field, located in downtown Denver. The team is named for the beautiful Rocky Mountains, some of which are situated just west of Denver.
For many years, the Colorado Rockies were considered a losing franchise; however, all of that changed in 2007 when the team won a National League pennant for the very first time. After a rocky start with several different owners embroiled in scandal, the team is currently owned by brothers Charlie and Dick Monfort.
