Get sleep – You would not want to miss out on a song while watching the concert just because you are a little sleepy. Therefore, have a good and restful sleep prior to the concert so you can enjoy it fully. Plus, you will look fresh and feel energetic too.
Jackets & raincoats – Before leaving for the concert, it is best that you check what the weather is going to be like, especially if the concert is held outside. Be prepared to bring a jacket, raincoat or windbreaker if the forecast calls for it.
Confirm your friends’ attendance – If you are going to the concert with friends, make sure you confirm everything with them in advance. Are you going together? If so, you can car-pool or just take public transportation to the venue together. You can also agree on just meeting up at a specific location or at the entrance to the venue itself.
Plan what to wear – Preparing the clothes that you will wear to the concert will save you time and free you from the stress of choosing. This is especially true if you decide to wear costumes or event-appropriate attire for the concert. Be sure comfort is a priority. See below for a few more details.
Eat before the concert – Have a meal before the concert, either at home or in a restaurant. In fact, this would serve as a good meeting place for you and your friends prior to attending the concert. Also, this will provide you nourishment at better prices since most food sold at concert venues are expensive.
Tickets - It might be obvious, but it is the most important thing you need to have with you. Without this, you can't get in!
Wallet and ID - You definitely do not want to forget your wallet and ID. Having cash and your ID with you are important in case of emergencies or if you're carded at the venue while buying alcohol.
Fully Charged Cell Phone - You will be taking a lot of photos during the concert and maybe texting or talking or browsing. Therefore, be sure to have a fully charged phone.
Small Bag - Concert policies may vary, so check with the specific venue's website, but a purse is often a safe bet. The size of the bag is enough for your concert essentials, and it leaves your hands free as well.
What Not to Bring
Jewelry - Dressing up in concerts is a must, but too much jewelry can be a hassle for you. It may stop you from thoroughly enjoying the concert. And what a drag if you lose it or it's stolen.
Big Bag - Huge bags may not be allowed in the concert venue. Check the policies of the venue first before deciding.
Umbrellas - If you're going to an outdoor concert, many venues do not allow umbrellas for obvious reasons, but check at the venue's website before you go. If it's going to rain, probably wear a top with a hood.
Dangerous Objects - Bringing items that could hurt your fellow concertgoer should be avoided. Objects like a pocket knife, pins, or anything that has a sharp edge should not be with you.
The air is a bit cooler in the autumn, and it is time to replace your sundresses and shorts. However, it doesn’t mean you'll have to dress any less fashionably.
Jackets and Heavy Clothing - Your outfit should be comfortable and light even if the temperature is cooler outside. You must not wear heavy clothing especially if you are in the pit. Just take off your jacket once you are in the concert venue. The lighting can be incredibly hot. Not to mention, there are plenty of people inside the venue. All that adds up to a lot of extra heat, so plan your clothes accordingly.
Heels – If you are planning to wear heels, make sure that you can stand wearing them all throughout the concert. Keep in mind that you will be wearing them for two hours straight and could be more if you include the time waiting in line.
Here are some ideas for your concert outfit.
Boots - Looking edgy is a must when you go to a concert, and wearing boots can help get the look. Now that the temperature is cooler, your feet will not feel stuffy. Plus, the boots are comfy as well.
Leather Jacket - Wearing a leather jacket is always a great idea. You can wear it over a dress or even a shirt. Give your outfit an extra edge by wearing a leather jacket. It keeps you warm as well.
Ripped Jeans - Good ripped jeans work for almost every occasion. It's even better when you wear it to a concert. It is best to wear this in concerts in warmer cities like Los Angeles.
Rompers - Show a little skin by wearing a romper. You can be comfortable wearing this if you are in warmer cities like Las Vegas or Phoenix. The outfit can be finished off with a leather jacket and boots as well.
Sneakers - Sneakers will never disappoint you. It adds a casual twist to your concert outfit and they are very comfortable.
Cardigan - Though cardigans can be more on the casual side, they are light and easy to take off once you are inside the venue. Pair them with dressy pants to level up your look.
