Who Sings In Underoath?
Underoath is an unusual band. They’ve not only had two different lead singers but for a while the band operated without any original members. Both conditions are rare for a successful rock band.
Underoath’s original lineup was lead vocalist Dallas Taylor, drummer Aaron Gillespie, lead guitarist Luke Morton, and bassist Rey Anasco.
Today, Gillespie is the only original member left. He came back for the reunion but was out of the group from 2015 through 2015.
He’s now joined by lead singer Spencer Chamberlain, lead guitarist Timothy McTague, guitarist James Smith, bassist Grant Brandell, and keyboardist Christopher Dudley.
Why Dallas Left Underoath?
Dallas didn’t really leave Underoath. He was asked to leave while the band was part of the 2003 Warped Tour.
The reason for his departure is unknown. There are, however, a bevy of rumors. Some think it was due to the band’s musical direction while others think it was over spiritual matters. One theory says he departed because of a cheating girlfriend. Another theory claims Taylor killed a woman in a car accident.
