About On Your Feet
On Your Feet! is a Broadway musical running at the Marquis Theatre. The musical is about Gloria Estefan and her husband Emilio Estefan.
The book was penned by Alexander Dinelaris. On Your Feet! contains music made famous by Gloria Estefan including songs from her days with the Miami Sound Machine.
These songs include “Conga,” “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You,” “Get on Your Feet,” “1-2-3,” and “Coming Out of the Dark.”
Some of the songs are incorporated into the plot and reveal a character’s emotional state while others are performed as if in concert.
On Your Feet is directed by Jerry Mitchell and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo.
In her Broadway debut, Ana Villafañe originated the role of “Gloria.” Josh Segarra, from the USA Network show Sirens, originally played Emilio.
