About The Milwaukee Bucks Playoffs

In 1969, the Milwaukee Bucks drafted Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Thanks to him, the Bucks reached the 1970s playoffs.  It was just the expansion franchise’s second year in the NBA.

Before the start of the 1970-1971 season, the Bucks acquired another future hall of famer, Oscar Robertson.

Abdul-Jabbar and Robertson led the Bucks to the 1971 NBA Finals.  Milwaukee emerged victorious thanks to sweeping the Washington Wizards.

The Bucks reached the NBA Playoffs again in 1972 and 1973 but failed to return to the finals.

In 1974, the Bucks defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in five games and then swept the Chicago Bulls to reach the NBA Finals.  There, they succumbed to the Boston Celtics in seven games.

The Bucks returned to the Eastern Conference Finals again in 1983, 1984, 1986, and 2001 but each time they failed to advance to the NBA Finals.

From 1992 to 1998, the Bucks missed out on the NBA Playoffs.

Then, from 2001 to 2015, the Bucks reached the NBA postseason six times but never advanced to the second round.

The Bucks play all their home postseason games at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  You’ll find “The B.C.” in downtown Milwaukee.

The arena seats more than 18,000.
