About The Who

The Who are an English rock band that first came to prominence in the 1960s. They grew in stature to become one of the Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Band's of All-Time. Except for periods of retirement from 1983 to 1988 and from 1990 to 1995, the band have continued to perform as a live act and have recently reentered the studio. The Who's 2006 North American Concert Tour

Surviving Who members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend will play sixteen dates in the US and Canada between September and December of 2006, and then they are going to the Far East and Europe early in 2007. Daltrey and Townsend will be joined by bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Zak Starkey, the son of Ringo Star.

The Who's new mini rock opera is called "Wire & Glass." The new album, provisionally called Who 2, is scheduled for release October 23, 2006.
