Scorpions are more than a hard rock band. They are an institution.
Since forming in 1967 in Hanover, Germany, the band has sold more than 100 million records and countless Scorpions concert tickets.
Their discography includes 18 studio albums and nearly 30 compilations. They’ve been called the “Heroes of Heavy Metal” and “Ambassadors of Rock.”
Their bestselling album is 1990’s Crazy World. The opus is anchored by “Winds of Change,” one of the bestselling singles of all-time.
Other big-time Scorpions songs are “Blackout,” “No One Like You,” “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” “Send Me an Angel,” “Still Loving You,” and “The Zoo.”
Rhythm guitarist Rudolf Schenker started the band and is the only original member left. Although, singer Klaus Meine has appeared on every studio album.
They are joined by lead guitarist Matthias Jabs, bassist Paweł Mąciwoda, and drummer Mikkey Dee.
