Rod Stewart is a British singer and songwriter who broke onto the U.S. scene in the late 1960s and has since established himself as a lasting artist and musical force.

Born in London, Stewart’s distinctive voice --- a raspy tenor sound --- has always been his calling card, setting him apart from other artists. In additional to a long and successful solo career, he also pioneered the mix of blues and rock with The Jeff Beck Group and Faces, both of whom are widely credited for forming the heavy metal and punk music genres.

Since the early 70s, he has churned out a string of hits to both critical and commercial success, including Maggie May, Hot Legs, Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?, Downtown Train, Some Guys Have All The Luck, Forever Young and Rhythm of My Heart. He has release a whopping 62 hit singles, 31 of which reached the Billboard Top 10 and six of which went all the way to number one.
