Never Shout Never is a prolific pop band from Joplin, Missouri. From 2010 to 2012, they released four albums: What Is Love? (2010), Harmony (2010), Time Travel (2011), and Good Times (2012). Never Shout Never is the solo project of Christopher Drew Ingle. He first began performing under the name "Never Shout Never" in the fall of 2005. Ingle was able to gain an ardent following of fans thanks to his MySpace page. In late July of 2008, Ingle appeared on MTV's TRL. Later that year, he launched a Never Shout Never tour with Hellogoodbye and Ace Enders.
Never Shout Never was signed to a major label in the spring of 2009 and that summer they released an EP. The band's debut full-length studio album dropped in January of 2010. What Is Love was produced by Butch Walker and featured the singles 'What Is Love," "I Love You 5" and "Can't Stand It."
Later that year, the band released its sophomore effort, Harmony. This time they worked with producer Butch Vig. The compact disc of Harmony comes with seeds (a limited edition version actually came with a flower pot). Apparently, the band wanted fans to plant the seeds to make the world a better place.
That's not the only time NeverShoutNever made a major altruistic gesture. During the band's 2010 Harmony tour, cans of food for those in need were collected at every Never Shout Never concert. Then in May of 2011, the band began raising funds for their hometown which was devastated by a tornado. Ingle posted to the internet a video featuring footage of the devastation cut to the Never Shout Never song "Time Travel." That's the title track from the band's third studio album.
Time Travel is the first Never Shout Never album that was recorded by a full band; hitherto and for the most part, Ingle had played all of the music himself. The studio version of the band is comprised of Caleb Denison on drums, Taylor MacFee on bass, and Hyadeb Kaiser on guitar.
