About Chris Botti

During a Chris Botti concert you’ll experience intimate passages as well as moments of sweeping grandeur. Then again, that’s the hallmark of a true artist. A true artist has the ability to make you cry and make you say “wow” in the same show—heck, in the same song.

Chris Botti tour stops feature more than just the artist and his trumpet. The cat brings along a top-notch band and world class singers. Most of the evening will be instrumental, but there will be some singing. Nonetheless, Chris Botti’s indelible horn blowing is the evening’s focal point. Since it is, then obtaining Chris Botti tickets will never disappoint.

Who Is Chris Botti?

Chris Botti is a virtuoso trumpeter and an accomplished composer. He released his first album, First Wish, in 1995. He drew national attention in 2001 after releasing his fourth studio opus, Night Sessions.

Chris Botti was born Oct. 12, 1962 in Portland, Oregon. He grew up south of The Rose City in Corvallis, Oregon—minus the two years he lived in Italy.

His idol is Miles Davis. He often performs the legend’s material in concert.

What‘s The Best Chris Botti Album?

The aforementioned Night Sessions peaked at #4 on the jazz album charts. Both of his next two albums repeated that feat, December (2002) and A Thousand Kisses Deep (2003).

Botti finally had his first number one jazz album in 2004 when he issued When I Fall in Love. He followed that up with three more number ones: To Love Again: The Duets(2005); Italia (2007); and Impressions (2012).

They’re all good. Italia probably gets the nod as his best album more times than not.

What Genre Is Chris Botti?

Chris Botti is a jazz musician and for the most part he plays jazz-slash-smooth jazz.

He also mixes in a dose of pop music. You don’t become the most popular instrumentalist in the United States performing straight forward jazz.

What Trumpet Does Chris Botti Play?

Chris Botti plays a Martin Committee trumpet. Interestingly, it was made in 1939. His silver plated mouthpiece was made in 1926.

Of course, he can afford antique instruments. Chris Botti’s net worth is estimated to be around $8 million.
