About Dinosaur Jr.

J Mascis (guitarist), Lou Barlow (bassist) and Emmett Patrick "Murph" Murphy (drummer) are founding members of the band Dinosaur Jr. The name of this group was originally Dinosaur (when founded in 1984) however the group ran into legal issues. The band disbanded in 1997 and reunited in 2005. Dinosaur Jr. had a breakthrough in the UK market with their debut single Freak Scene in 1988.
